Linda was my best friend in kindergarten and 1st grade at Southeard elementary school.  I loved playing at her cool house - I recall it was over the family store?  It was fun to reconnect with her when we moved back to Clearwater just before our 9th grade.  I recall we laughed a lot.  Grateful to have called her friend and sad that she is gone,  praying for her family as they grieve - but not without hope.

I did not know this lovely lady, but I'm sure I saw her around the halls.  I hate to see any of us leave as we eventually all will.  As the song goes:  "When we are there 10,000 years bright shineing as the sun......" I wish to be on that years reunion committee and meet and hug all of you.  Lynn

How sad that Linda is gone!  Cathie, you and I have similar memories of Linda.  I met Linda in second grade at South Ward and we became great friends!  I loved going to her upstairs house too!  My sister remembers when we used to put on puppet shows from the upstairs balcony and screened in porch.  Judy was our audience on the first floor!  Linda had the most beautiful long braids and I always wished mine would look like hers.  She was always so kind to everyone and had a smile for all.  Wish we could go back just for a little while when it was fun to really play and not be on the cell phones of today!  May you rest in peace, dear friend and know how everyone loved you.

I don’t know if it’s the same house, but I used to visit Linda at their cute house by Morton Plant. What a sweet heart Linda had!  When Joe and I moved back to Clearwater onto Maple St, we lived on a corner with Mrs Morrison as our next door neighbor. Our girls loved her HUGE turtle and chatted with her often. Linda suffered that ol’ MS for a long time. Down in Miami she got together with Joy Anderson who also has MS. DREADFUL disease. Love you Linda, and know you are resting peacefully in God’s kingdom.  Myra

I think the first time I met Linda was in Jr. High school.  I went to North Ward, so, did not have memories of her then.  I remember how sweet and smart she was and always looked up to her.  I loved how tall she was , since I was so short.  I knew she had MS and when my mind went to the people we went to school with I worried about her.  We never kept up and hope this illness did not devastate  her too much.  It was so good to see her at the reunions she could attend.  God speed and rest from all Earth's pains, dear.Linda.  Jean

I did not know Linda well in high school but I got to know her through a charitable organization that we were members of here in Miami. 1990s we had a by chance encounter in the downtown of Woodstock Vermont. She recognized me across the street and asked her husband if he thought I looked about her age. He said yes and so she got up the courage to say Joy. It was pretty funny!

I spoke to her a lot over the years and even with all of her health problems and her accident I never ever once heard her complain. Rest in peace my dear friend.
